About Niche Care
Nurturing - Inclusive - Committed - Honest - Enthusiastic
At Niche Care, we believe every young person deserves a safe place to land. A space where the noise calms, the pressure lifts, and healing can begin.
We don’t stand back and watch. We walk alongside each young person, step by step, as they navigate their past, discover their strengths, and start shaping a hopeful, healthy future. What makes the difference isn’t quick fixes or clever systems – it’s the power of love, care and understanding, lived out day by day.
Our Story
Niche Care was established in 2025, bringing together two long-standing Therapeutic Children’s Homes and the dedicated staff who had been part of those journeys. Together, we created a family company with one clear vision – to offer therapeutic care to some of society’s most vulnerable young people, in homes that truly feel like home.
Today, we run two detached four-bedded Homes in rural Suffolk. Each one is surrounded by large gardens, open skies and the kind of space that allows young people to breathe again.
Education with Purpose
Education at Niche Care doesn’t look like a one-size-fits-all timetable. Our Young People, aged 9 to 16, learn inside the Homes, supported by qualified teachers who know them as people first and students second. We offer 5 GCSE subjects, and because we’re a registered exam centre with three boards, our young people can sit their exams in a familiar environment, supported by staff they trust.
We start with the child in front of us – their pace, their needs, their hopes. From there, we build timetables that are challenging but achievable, giving them room to grow without setting them up to fail. Each Home has a dedicated Home Tutor, making sure education stays woven into daily life – not as a pressure, but as a possibility.
Because at the end of the day, it isn’t just about passing exams. It’s about helping each young person believe they can.
Stories of Change
-
"The education department at Acorn Cottage is amazing. She had been through many different resources prior to placement at Acorn Cottage and it was difficult to find anything that worked for her, and difficult for her to focus on learning. I've never seen her so proud to show me anything after a review meeting."

"Gable really go the extra mile for young people, staff persevere to support young people when they are struggling and this commitment was rewarded by an extremely positive transition for our young person.”

"The staff at Niche Care have transformed my son’s life. For the first time, he feels understood and supported in his education. The personalised approach has made all the difference."

"During my time at Niche I have learned how to work therapeutically with young people by creating a safe, consistent and non-judgmental space where they feel heard, valued and understood."
